To mark MANCOSA’s 30th anniversary, Honoris Educational Network, with Editions Le Printemps (ELP), donated a collection of books to Children Foundation Mauritius, Inclusion Mauritius, and M-Kids Association.
These organisations support children and young people through education and inclusion-led programmes. The books will be used to strengthen reading access for learners who do not always have books at home, and to support learning activities run by each NGO.
This donation forms part of the Million Books Project, founded by the late Professor Yusuf Karodia, Founder of MANCOSA. The project aims to distribute over one million books to school children across Africa, reinforcing the belief that education is a powerful catalyst for social transformation. Professor Karodia’s vision continues to inspire initiatives that ensure access to learning resources for those who need them most.
In Mauritius, the focus is simple: help more children spend more time with books and make reading part of daily life. This initiative encourages a culture of reading and learning while supporting the educational development of young learners across diverse communities.
By extending the Million Books Project to Mauritius, Honoris and MANCOSA reaffirm their shared dedication to creating meaningful educational impact beyond traditional academic spaces.
Honoris thanks Children Foundation Mauritius, Inclusion Mauritius, and M-Kids Association for the work they do, and thanks Editions Le Printemps for supporting this donation.
